Bidumb Is The Dumb One

The self-important boobs on The View think Sarah Palin is dumb. The writers on Saturday Night Live think Sarah Palin is dumb. News anchors Charles Gibson and Katie Couric think Sarah Palin is dumb. But while they are all giggling about the Alaska Governor's low IQ, the Senator from Delaware has quietly won the title of Miss Speaking.

The double standard is infuriating.

Today AP reports on his latest gaffe.
"You know, the idea here that somehow these guys are once again injecting fear and loathing into this campaign is ... I think it's mildly dangerous. I mean, here you have out there these kinds of, you know, incitements out there — guy introducing Barack using his middle name as if it's some epitaph or something," Biden said, apparently confusing the words "epitaph" and "epithet."
Is there an anecdote for stupidity? I mean antidote.

If Sarah Palin had mistakenly said, as Joe Bidumd did, that Roosevelt went on TV at the start of The Great Depression when there was no TV and Roosevelt wasn't in charge, that mistake would have taken on epic "Dan Quayle can't spell potato" proportions. Instead everybody shakes their collective heads and says, "That's just Joe." And, of course, no one questions why Katie Couric didn't immediately point out the error. (Maybe she should put down the Economist and turn on the History Channel.)

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer, (who coined the term "Bush Doctrine" and said-- although no one would listen-- that it was Gibson who got the question wrong not Palin who got the answer wrong), pointed out after the Vice-Presidential debate that alleged foreign policy expert Bidumb got "seven facts wrong in 60 seconds."

Yet Sarah Palin is, apparently, the dumb one.

Perhaps the coverage would be more fair if Tina Fey could do a Joe Biden impression.

Way to go, Traci. The treatment of this woman is staggering in its fear, myopia, and blatant sexism - especially among women.

I'm with Tom on this one. The facts are clear, the US doesn't like women whether they're bold and brassy or the soccer mom. And bitches like Couric invented the glass ceiling for women. Sickening.

did not know Krauthammer coined "Bush Doc." Makes perfect sense that it is a figment of the media's imagination. Same as the word attack -- Palin attacks Obama -- really? attacked? arrest pending? Same as the way sportscasters see something good and call it great, see something great and call it unbelievable (which i like to say to people who are lying. as in that is truly an unbelievable penis story, george) and they see something unbelievable and oops, sorry, I'm all out of descriptors cause I've been trying to sell 3 run homers for the last decade.
